I will overwhelm 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to promote next month's boxing match.

Former two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning huge earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters met for the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really proceeding.
